My name is Dave Spicer. I am the Founder of Stacked Site.
My real super power is translating technical geek speak into normal everyday language and I avoid acronyms at all costs.
I’ve been building websites for almost 15 years now and our team has grown to 9 people including marketers, copywriters and incredible designers.
We have launched a lot of smaller websites for people on tight budgets, and we’ve also created websites for some of the biggest brands in Australia.

The first step to website success
I will write you a website plan. Make no mistake... it's more than a plan, it's a serious website brief.
If you move forward without a plan, your website will fail.
90% of web designers skip this step, which is probably why there are 1.8 Billion websites in the world and almost half of them get NO traffic!

For step 1, I always start by putting a plan together for you. This plan usually takes me many, many hours and I’m sure you will be impressed with the detail I will go into for you.
My aim is to get a crystal-clear plan of what we are building and be confident that your site will get leads once it’s launched. We’ve build hundreds of sites, and this plan I’d write for you will be different to any other businesses website plan.
This plan will show you exactly what I would build if I was in your position.
I do this work for free because I’ve found if I do this work up front, then you'll trust there will be a great end result, we both know what we’re doing and there’s no hidden surprises down the track.

Step 2: Building your site

Your Project Starts
At this stage you should be congratulated. You are joining a family of site owners that know the power of a website that works.
Google DRive
We would start by giving you a google drive folder where you can drag and drop any files for us. For most projects we write all the text and we find all the images too, so usually these folders are almost empty - but anything you want on the site you can drag in for us.
SLACK CHANNEL
Then we add you to a Slack Channel - which is just like messenger. This is one the things that clients love most about working with us. You are in direct contact with our team, meaning you get instant answers and are alway up to date about the progress. We often reach out and ask for feedback as we’re building your site and we figure the more feedback the better!
Homepage with unlimited revisions
Then we start building your homepage. We share the link with you and you can see it getting built in real-time. We use a drag’n’drop editor that makes design fast and you’ll be able to easily edit your site once you have it.
We start with your homepage because if we get this right, the rest of the site will just fall into place. See, the homepage will give us a style guide to follow including your colours, typography, gradients, line-heights, weights, elements, padding, margins, you get the point… and if we stick to this style guide, then the rest of your site will look just as great as the homepage and be remarkable.
Once you are happy with your homepage, we then move onto the next stage and build the layouts of all of your pages, and if you want us to write your text we do that also.
Then we start doing the final touches to get your site ready for launch. Things like making it look good on mobile and tablet devices, testing all your forms, and a checklist of 25 other things we also test. In fact, during this checklist we do a lot of important things that most other freelancers and agencies miss. We figure you are going to have this website for the next 3-5 years so it needs to be built correctly and kick goals.

Step 3: Launching your site

Your Website Launches
When we launch the site, we’ll train you up so you now how to do everything. We’ll do this while sharing our screens on a video call. This was we can record the session and send you the training video to refer back to. We also build training videos into the site for you and offer a month of free tweaks and support. After that, if you need our help your can jump on our chat support at any time and get quick help from our team.
Our websites usually take a few weeks to build and we only take on projects where we are confident your website will get new leads and business, and you will make your money back in a matter of months.

Do you know how dangerous that is as an agency? If you (the client) want any more than 5 redesigns then we are losing money.
So why do we offer it?
Basically, if we can get the homepage perfect with you, then the rest of the site is easy! We want you to be as excited about the site as us. Every one has different tastes for design and together we will get it right with you.
The homepage design will have featured colours, typography rules, image styles, hover effects, padding and margin rules, etc... and we can then apply those to the inside pages. By doing so we can ensure that the site looks consistent on every single page and you will be a happy customer.
